Today, Drew and I harvested Brandon's tree, graciously donated by Virginia Munroe in 2008 in memory of our client, Brandon, at the time of his death.  Brandon's tree was the inspiration for the Olive Orchard that YOU have helped make a reality. We spent about 3 1/2 hours harvesting with a little break in between.  We didn't harvest all of the tree due to a large bee nest on a large limb.  Also, we didn't get all the olives at the top and there were places we just missed.  There was probably a

For more than 50 years, John Jockusch shared his faith, love and time with the children and clients of Mission Road. John shared not just some of his 99 years.  Nope!  For more than 50 years, at least one Sunday a month - and often much more - you would find John Jockusch leading Sunday Worship Services surrounded by joyful singing, big smiles and hungry souls of many of God's most fragile and vulnerable children at the little chapel at Mission Road Developmental Center.

Lucky Mission Road got a lot of much needed TLC for our campus facilities and grounds, all thanks to the generous volunteers from Southwest Research Institute and their families who spent Saturday morning working hard for our clients.

You’re invited to harvest olives and get a sneak peak at the year 2020 for the Mission Road Olive Orchard Harvest and participate in a real, live Olive Harvest! Olives trees love the Texas sun – and they REALLY flourish in the rich soil at Mission Road Developmental Center.  Our 250-tree olive orchard was planted in May 2015. Our trees are likely to reach maturity by 2020 for their first harvest.

The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas have befriended Mission Road and Praise the Lord they LOVE to do BIG projects on campus.  Recently, 70 agents teamed up to revamp our playground equipment, paint curbs, dig drainage coverts, and lay a stone pathway to our gym, all in about 4 hours! As if that wasn't enough, they brought a check to pay for all the necessary supplies to complete the job.
