"I had just moved to San Antonio, and was looking for a job. Julie O'Toole called me in for an interview. When I met her she stated that it was a position in the Children's Program. I told her I had never worked with disabled kids: I had only worked with adults. She told me to just give it a try and if I did not like it, she would transfer me to the adult program. In making that transition from adults to kids, I received a lot of support. Linda Villarreal nominated Natalie Shipman. Linda writes: I wanted to let you know what a wonderful help Natalie was to Kimberly. Kimberly is our client employee in the laundry and she also attends Unicorn Centers. One day Kimberly mentioned to Natalie that she had a party to go to that evening after work, but she didn't have a nice Christmas dress to wear. That very morning, Natalie had received some donations in the laundry and remembered that it included a party dress.
