"Sweet Caroline! Bum Bum Bum!"

This past Sunday, JoyRide Cycling Studio hosted a fundraiser for Mission Road Ministries, partnering with Claire Blecher to cycle for her sister, Caroline, who currently lives at Mission Road. Thanks to Claire’s organization of the event, all proceeds from each participant who rode in the JoyRide cycle class went to Mission Road Ministries. The class was led by Danna Dunn—one of Claire’s favorite JoyRide instructors. Danna played upbeat, motivating music that was fitting for such a purposeful ride; when she played “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, Caroline came into the cycle room to dance and sing to her song while we continued cycling! It was a great way to remind us the purpose of why we were exercising! This fundraising event was such a fun and unique way to give back to our community because each person who came not only felt like they were giving to others, but also felt a sense of accomplishment when they completed the challenging exercise class. After our fifty-minute ride in the cycle studio, all of the participants were able to meet Caroline and the rest of the Blecher family out in the lobby. Thanks to all who participated or donated, this event raised funds that will go directly towards supporting Caroline and her fellow residents of Mission Road. Thank you to Claire for sharing her love for her sister and expressing her gratitude of Mission Road with everyone who came to the JoyRide event. Thank you to JoyRide and Danna for hosting an encouraging and lively class! Thank you to Sally and Dan Blecher and Liz and Bobby Dewar for their continued trust and partnership with Mission Road Ministries; you are a very treasured family! And lastly, thank you to Caroline who served as our inspiration to work and push ourselves in order to benefit the other individuals who receive support from Mission Road Ministries.
