Mission Road Developmental Center provides social activities, community outings, life skills training and vocational training programs for adults diagnosed with IDD.  We host our ISS (Individualized Skills & Socialization) Day Activity program and our Community Employment and Job Coach Program at our Unicorn Centers Campus located near the medical center in Northwest San Antonio. We provide appropriate social activities and life skills programing to both adult residents of Mission Road community homes and those living elsewhere.

Typically, we are open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm throughout the year for adults 18 years+ with a primary diagnosis of IDD. All participating individuals must meet our minimum physical and behavioral requirements including but not limited to:

• Managing daily transportation to & from our campus
• Eating independently
• Safe self management of medication
• Independently managing hygiene & restroom needs
• Exhibiting safe, kind & thoughtful behavior at all times

• Our Off-Site Frequent Field Trips Include: Tobin Center, Zoo, Movies, Parks, Libraries, Restaurants, Sporting Events, Morgan’s Wonderland, Museums, Community Volunteering and more!
• Our On-Site Stimulating classroom activities Include: Newly renovated Fitness Room with exercise equipment & pickleball court; Basketball on our outdoor covered sports court; Cooking in our newly renovated life skills kitchen; Theater arts; Use of Smart Boards; Dancing; Crafts; Yoga; Karaoke; Zumba, Sensory Items, Fun Events, & More!
• Our amazing amenities offer Daily outdoor activities at our Sports Court and Vegetable Garden
