Community Homes

Mission Road provides residential care for adults and children in ten community homes located in the Southside, Medical Center area, North San Pedro, Northeast and Alamo Heights areas.  Click here to view a map and photos of Mission Road's off-campus facilities.

 

Main Campus

Our main campus is located at 8706 Mission Road 78214 and accommodates five children’s homes, one assisted living home for adults and an Adult Day Services Program.  Click here to view a map and photos of the campus facilities.


The Unicorn Centers, Inc.

Located at 7630 Hamilton Wolfe Road 78229, The Unicorn Centers, Inc. provides vocational training and supported employment services to 250 adults. Click here for information on The Unicorn Center.


Work Shifts

Work shifts vary according to the services provided to the Mission Road client. Work shifts for employees providing residential services may run 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. or midnight to 8 a.m.  Weekend work includes 10 or 12-hour shifts during the day.  Employees providing day activity services, vocational training or supported employment services work 8-hour shifts varying between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Employment

Employment is contingent upon a clear criminal history check, negative drug screen, negative TB test, reference checks and a clear driving record (if applicable).


Training

Mission Road provides extensive training on a regular basis to all staff to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, customers and employees. Per State regulations, our residential direct care staff are required to received 50 hours of annual training, specifically 40 hours of on-the-job training and completion of certain training, such as CPR, First Aid, Behavior Management, Risk Abuse Management, New Driver and CPI—Crisis Prevention Intervention Training. We also provide extensive, on-site management training on a regular basis to give managers an opportunity to improve the quality and effectiveness of the services we provide, to manage and coach employees and training for self-development.
